About the Work
OHARA KOSON — CROW ON A SNOWY BRANCH
Presented as a later facsimile after Ohara Koson, *Crow on a Snowy Branch* retains the visual structure of the recognised composition. A solitary black crow occupies a snow-laden branch, its dark silhouette set against a restrained background that heightens the contrast between bird, branch and winter atmosphere. The supplied photograph shows the image clearly and supports the identification of the principal subject and orientation. Rather than treating the sheet as a period impression or unique work, the catalogue presents it conservatively as a later decorative reproduction, keeping the visual description separate from questions of authorship, date and edition. Its balance of flattened space, decisive contour and carefully controlled detail gives the sheet a strong graphic quality suited to contemporary interiors.
