About the Work
FELIPE PANTONE — CHROMADYNAMICA – PRINT
Large pixel-like rectangles form a vertical abstract composition dominated by blues, cyan and black, interrupted by smaller blocks of red, yellow, orange and white. The hard-edged units appear to dissolve or shift across the field, evoking digital colour calibration, screen imagery and optical movement. Pantone’s practice frequently examines the transition between analogue painting and digital visual systems, and the work reflects that interest through a deliberately technological palette. Rather than depicting a recognisable subject, the image asks the viewer to experience colour as information, with scale and adjacency causing the blocks to pulse between individual units and a larger chromatic structure.
