About the Work
ZHANG DAQIAN — ABSTRACT SPLASHED-COLOUR LANDSCAPE
This decorative print interprets Zhang Daqian’s *Abstract Splashed-Colour Landscape* through a clean, display-oriented presentation. Broad pools of blue, turquoise and dark pigment-like colour spread across the field, producing an abstracted landscape effect in which fluid transitions replace descriptive detail. The supplied photograph shows the image clearly and supports the identification of the principal subject and orientation. Rather than treating the sheet as a period impression or unique work, the catalogue presents it conservatively as a later decorative reproduction, keeping the visual description separate from questions of authorship, date and edition. Its combination of expressive brush-like marks and carefully controlled emptiness translates effectively into a display-oriented decorative print.
