About the Work
FUTURA — POINTMAN
A metallic, elongated humanoid stands with angular limbs gathered close to the body, creating a complex silhouette of points, arcs and intersecting forms. The reflective finish accentuates the figure’s futuristic, almost aerospace character and shifts with the surrounding light. Futura’s Pointman vocabulary emerged from graffiti culture but has developed into a recognisable sculptural language independent of lettering. Here, the alien-like figure translates the artist’s interest in abstraction, motion and technological imagery into a freestanding collectible object. Its polished surface and attenuated anatomy give the piece a simultaneously elegant and mechanical presence.
