Presented as a later facsimile after Xu Beihong, *Two Horses* retains the visual structure of the recognised composition. The horse motif is rendered with energetic, economical brush-like contours, concentrating attention on the animal’s movement, muscular body and sweeping mane and tail. The supplied photograph shows the image clearly and supports the identification of the principal subject and orientation.
