About the Work
PRODIP LEUNG — PLANTS OF GODS – FIGURE
A black seated figure adopts a cross-legged, meditative pose while multiple arms extend outward from the torso. A transparent dome rises above the head area, enclosing a small plant or organic growth, and a skull-like motif is visible at the centre. The hybrid form combines spiritual iconography, anatomy, botany and contemporary designer-object aesthetics. The restricted black palette gives the many-limbed silhouette clarity, while the living-plant reference introduces an unexpected contrast between manufactured body and natural growth. The piece reads as a surreal devotional object adapted to collectible culture, inviting interpretation without relying on a conventional narrative.
