About the Work
BE@RBRICK / MEDICOM TOY — KEITH HARING 100% + 400%
The standard BE@RBRICK silhouette is covered from head to foot with multicoloured dancing figures and graphic marks associated with Keith Haring’s instantly recognisable vocabulary. The pattern wraps around the three-dimensional body, transforming the bear-shaped collectible into a moving field of line and colour. Haring’s imagery was originally developed in public and highly accessible contexts, making its adaptation to a mass-produced art object conceptually fitting. The paired scale shown in the supplied image reinforces the serial nature of the design. The result combines licensed art imagery, toy engineering and Pop-era graphic immediacy in a single collectible format.
