About the Work
FAILE — BROOKLYN PRINT
The composition combines comic-book fragments, bold typography, torn-paper effects and black-and-white imagery in a dense horizontal collage. A medieval or armoured figure occupies the centre, while cropped faces, text and graphic textures compete across the surrounding field. Faile’s visual language is rooted in appropriation, advertising, pulp imagery and street-poster culture, and the work reflects the layered appearance of urban walls where images are repeatedly pasted, damaged and overwritten. Despite the apparent fragmentation, strong black, red and cream passages organise the surface. The result is energetic, referential and deliberately resistant to a single narrative reading.
