About the Work
JING ZHIYONG — URBAN FIGURE MULTIPLE
A solitary dark figure walks in profile before a large grid of glowing amber windows. The backlit architectural field occupies most of the composition, turning the person into a near-silhouette and creating a cinematic contrast between warm interior light and surrounding darkness. A small balloon-like form floats within the window grid, adding an ambiguous narrative element. The image derives its impact from scale and atmosphere rather than detail: the human figure appears vulnerable within an expansive urban structure. Its restrained geometry and strong light-dark opposition give the scene the quality of a staged still from an unidentified story.
