About the Work
CHIHO AOSHIMA — CITY GLOW
A fantastical nocturnal city rises against a deep navy sky, its towers rendered through a mixture of architectural detail, glowing windows and organic, dreamlike growth. Small flying figures and unusual vegetation animate the foreground, while irregular silhouettes keep the skyline from feeling conventionally urban. Aoshima’s imagery often merges landscape, city and supernatural narrative, and the saturated colour gives the scene the luminous quality of digital animation. The work operates simultaneously as an imagined metropolis and a decorative field, reflecting the artist’s interest in environments where nature, technology and fantasy continually transform into one another.
