About the Work
PARK SEO-BO — ÉCRITURE – EDITION PRINT
The composition consists of closely spaced vertical blue lines arranged across a rectangular field, interrupted by a pale central vertical opening. Variations in tone and density create a subtle optical vibration, while the surrounding blue border stabilises the structure. The image relates to Park Seo-Bo’s Écriture vocabulary, in which repeated linear actions become a disciplined record of process rather than descriptive imagery. Even in edition form, the work retains a meditative emphasis on repetition, rhythm and material trace. The restrained palette encourages slow viewing, with minor differences between neighbouring lines becoming the principal source of visual movement.
