About the Work
STIK — STANDING FIGURE – PRINT
A single stick-like figure stands frontally within a tall red rectangular field. The body is reduced to a black outline with a white oval head and torso, giving the image extraordinary economy and immediate legibility. Stik’s figures are built from minimal marks but depend on posture and spacing to convey personality; here the upright stance feels calm and direct. The broad red ground provides both colour intensity and visual containment, making the slender figure appear almost like a sign. The work translates the artist’s street-based pictograms into an edition format without losing their accessibility or human presence.
