About the Work
HAROSHI — SKATEBOARD DECK MULTIPLE
The skateboard deck functions as both sporting object and vertical picture support. A brightly coloured creature or floral form occupies the lower half, while the remaining surface is covered by a fine repeating pattern that shifts through pale rainbow tones. The pointed deck silhouette and visible truck holes retain the object’s functional origins, yet the printed treatment places it firmly within edition and design culture. Haroshi’s practice is closely connected to skateboarding and the material history of skate decks; this multiple extends that context into a collectible format in which subcultural object, graphic image and contemporary art overlap.
